The case back markings are A.M. (6B/159 4698/56), the stainless steel case measures approximately 36mm and the Military Strap is a universal fitting. The manual wind movement is signed “Omega Swiss 16 Jewels 9739388. The case back markings are A.M. (6B/159 A4541), the alloy case measures approximately 33mm and the Military Strap is a universal fitting. The watch has been fully serviced by our in-house watch technician and comes with a full 12 months written warranty. After WW2 the MOD found these watches to be so Robust and accurate that they decided to re-case the Omega movement into stainless steel cases hence the Omega 56 and variants. -

Only around 25,000 Omega W.W.W watches were made for the British army during world war two, at least half of these would have been destroyed on D day, good original examples of these watches are very sought after by Collectors and can often be difficult to find.
