JAEGER LECOULTRE MILITARY RAF 6B/159 4698 1956
This is a Very Rare Air Ministry RAF White Jaeger LeCoultre Pilots 6B/159 watch dated 1956. The original MOD White dial with applied arabic numerals and markers and military markings are in excellent condition. The original hands and the manual wind movement is signed Jaeger LeCoultre. The case back markings are A.M. (6B/159 4698/56), the stainless steel case measures approximately 36mm and the Military Strap is a universal fitting. The watch has been fully serviced by our in-house watch technician and comes with a full 12 months written warranty.
In 1956, a large number of surplus 6B/159 pilot watches originating from WW2 were modified and re-issued to the RAF by the Ministry of Defence (MoD).

A Black Dial Jaeger LeCoultre Military 6B/159 56 sold at Auction in 12/2020 for £2879.60 including commission, with No Warranty Guarantee or Servicing.
White Dials 56s are even Rarer.

Stainless Steel with Fixed Lugs 36 mm Approximately Excluding Crown – The brushed stainless steel screw back case is in superb condition with only minor signs of wear. The case measures 36mm wide excluding crown, the inside back is not signed as most Dennison Military cases of this period.The outer markings are A.M. 6B/159 4698/56, the movement comes with the original dust cover which is normally missing
DIAL:
White Dial. Although a large majority of these watches were issued with black dials and luminous hour markers and hands, some were issued with white dials and blue steel hands. Dial and Hands are correct with some blemishing.
