ROLEX OYSTER PERPETUAL AIR KING DATE WITH BOX AND PAPERS 1966
This is stunning Rolex Oyster Perpetual Air-King-Date from 1966 with box and papers. These watches were only sold to the British Commonwealth Countries and were also a special order item. This watch has many desirable aspects, most of all it has some great history behind it! The Rolex Air-King name has an unprecedented historical value in the Rolex Oyster Perpetual Range. This arose from the proprietor of Rolex, ‘Hans Wilsdorf’ wanting to honour the British Pilots of WW2 and so introduced the “Air” line of watches, like the “Air-Tiger,” “Air-Lion,” “Air-Giant” and “Air-King.” This line of Rolex watches remained in production until the early 60’s with only the Air-King surviving to the present day.
Our Rolex Air-King-Date is truly stunning and has the original pearlescent Rolex dial, a true classic and would compliment any occasion. The watch has had a full service by our in-house watch technician and comes with a full 12 months written warranty, the watch is also accompanied with the original vintage Rolex inner and outer coffin presentation Box, warranty guarantee papers and stainless steel riveted bracelet.

Stainless Steel 34.5 mm Approximately Excluding Crown – The highly polished and grained, stainless steel screw down case is in pristine condition and shows minimal wear. The model reference 5700 and the serial number dates the watch to 1966. The watch also has the original twin lock crown.
DIAL:
Pearlescent with Applied Silver Faceted Baton Indexes – The original Rolex signed pearlescent dial has not been re-finished and is in excellent original condition. The perfectly straight index hands and batons are beautiful. The dial is signed “Rolex Oyster Perpetual Air-King-Date” Precision T Swiss T.

STRAP/BRACELET:
New Crocodile Strap 20 cm approximately with a new stainless steel Rolex after market buckle. Also included is the original rivet stainless steel bracelet which is in mint condition.
