Rolex 9K Gold Precision Coin Edge 1953
This stunning 9k gold watch is a very rare and beautiful men’s Rolex 9K Precision Coin Edge 1953 with light cream dial. This model was in the top of the precision range and was fitted with the Rolex 1210 17 Jewel manual wind movement. These movements are highly accurate and reliable and will give over a lifetime’s service. The watch comes with a high quality Brown Cream stitched leather strap and is accompanied with a presentation box. This is a beautiful, cared for and slightly used example with only the minimal restoration, making this a stunning watch to own.
The solid 9k gold full size case is in superb condition with only the slightest signs of wear. The case measures a large 34mm without the original signed Rolex dust crown. The case is signed “DS&S” followed with the correct hallmarks 9 375 d. This was the signature of UK case makers D Shakman & Son who made many cases for Rolex. The case serial number is 10023 dating the watch to 1953. These cases are often excessively over polished and lose complete definition, but this does not apply to our watches as we have a top restoration service.
Light Cream with gold faceted baton indexes, Here we have the original Rolex Precision dial which has been expertly refinished to the highest standard and it is in excellent condition. The dial is signed “Rolex Precison”, “Swiss Made. It is simply stunning!
Brown – Cream stitched leather, 19 cm approximately. Fitted with a new Brown leather strap with matching gold plate buckle. If you would prefer a different style strap, please let us know and we will do our best to assist.
The original high grade Rolex 1210 17 jewel manual wind movement. This is particularly accurate, reliable and strong. It is in superb condition and is working perfectly. The movement has been thoroughly serviced and calibrated by our in-house master watchmaker and is warranted for 12 months*. Movement is signed “Montres Rolex SA,Geneva, Swiss, 17 jewels”. These movements last a lifetime and more.

This watch does not come with its original papers, however all serial numbers are correct and have been checked against our register. This watch dates to 1953. A detailed receipt with a 12 month warranty and separate insurance valuation (for the replacement value) will be provided at the time of purchase.
